5. Community Guidelines

All participants, students and teachers, are expected to observe and practice proper 'netiquette.'

The word netiquette is a combination of ’net’ (from internet) and ’etiquette’. It means respecting other users’ views and displaying common courtesy when posting your views on online discussion groups.

Everyone is encouraged to:

  • Actively participate in course activities;
  • Write clearly and succinctly;
  • Stay on-topic and don’t spam;
  • Keep in mind that some of your posts will be shared in class;
  • Acknowledge and indicate the source of your information and/or materials when sharing them with the class.
